Ex-Chiefs Star Nears Retirement?

By Soccer Laduma - Nov 14, 2017 03:26 PM

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, David Mathebula, could be nearing the end of his professional football career, according to sources.

Mathebula is currently on the books of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC in the National First Division. The 34-year-old joined the Limpopo outfit this season.

Prior to joining TTM, DVD had been without a club since leaving SuperSport United in January. While the central midfielder has been handed an opportunity to revive his career with TTM, the indication from sources close to the player is that he has already started assessing his options for life after playing football.

“David Mathebula is nearing the end of his career. He is considering becoming a football agent after his playing days,” said the source.

Apart from Chiefs and SuperSport, Mathebula had also been on the books of Dynamos, Moroka Swallows and Mpumalanga Black Aces in his career.
